Shopify Theme Development

I build conversion-focused Shopify themes in Liquid for merchants who sell across more than one country, language or currency — including right-to-left Arabic storefronts.

Liquid themes that survive more than one market

A Shopify theme that works in one language and one currency is a brochure. The stores I ship have to merchandize for UK, US, EU, GCC, Canadian and Australian shoppers from the same templates — duties called out before checkout, markets routed correctly, and layouts that still make sense when the language flips to Arabic.

I write Shopify Liquid, JavaScript and the Online Store 2.0 section model. Performance is part of the brief, not a later audit: Core Web Vitals, image strategy and script budget are decided while the sections are authored, because a slow PDP in a second market is a lost order, not a Lighthouse score.

Seventeen live storefronts, not mockups

The projects page is the proof. Millie & Jones (UK kids furniture), RollyRider (GCC, Europe and US ride-on luggage), Passion For Fashion (Australian designer rental), Furniture Maxi, TANHK (Italian mattresses), Solatek Renew, Bella & Blush, RevozPort (global automotive carbon fibre), Clearance Paving, Keys to Health, Kola Goodies, IBYX, Ant Sauce, Lindeza, PetsWorld (US pet care), Giorbello (US luxury tile) and ThriveMeals.

Lindeza is the localisation stress test: trilingual EN/AR/FR jewellery with full right-to-left layout support. Arabic is not a translation swap — it inverts navigation, product grids, the cart drawer and form controls — while English and French continue left-to-right from the same templates. Merchandising is by gemstone rather than product type, with a crystal quiz that turns an intent a first-time buyer cannot name into a recommendation.

What a theme engagement usually includes

  • Custom Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks matched to the catalogue
  • Multi-currency and multi-language markets, including RTL Arabic
  • Product configurators, quizzes and merchandising taxonomies that are not vanilla collections
  • Checkout-adjacent messaging for duties, taxes and landed cost
  • Core Web Vitals work so the theme stays fast after apps are installed

Catalogue, markets and checkout-adjacent work

Millie & Jones is a UK kids-furniture catalogue that is configured rather than picked off a shelf: a multi-column mega menu by bed type, merchant-controlled seasonal sale bars, Klarna on the PDP, Trustpilot through the templates. RollyRider sells one product family into six markets — Shopify Markets for currency, a cart drawer that takes gift wrap and a shipping estimate without leaving the merchandising flow, a wishlist for the browse-now-buy-later pattern that dominates kids' gifting.

Passion For Fashion is Australian designer rental, which is not a standard add-to-cart path. RevozPort is global automotive carbon fibre with a product story that cannot live in a generic grid. Clearance Paving, Furniture Maxi, TANHK, Solatek Renew, Keys to Health, Kola Goodies, IBYX, Ant Sauce, Bella & Blush — each one has a merchandising model that fights a vanilla theme. The work is Liquid sections, JavaScript behaviour and the Markets/localization layer, not a colour token on Dawn.

Theme plus app, when the store needs both

ThriveMeals is a theme and a custom subscription app. If your store needs recurring billing or a merchant portal, that work lives on the Shopify app development page. I am a Shopify theme developer and Shopify app developer in Mohali, Punjab — hire me if you want one person owning both.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work from a Shopify theme or from scratch?
Both. Most production stores start from a well-chosen OS 2.0 base and then get custom sections, localisation and performance work. Fully custom themes are used when the catalogue or the merchandising model does not fit a preset.
Can you localise a store for Arabic and right-to-left?
Yes. Lindeza is a live EN/AR/FR jewellery store where Arabic inverts navigation, grids, cart drawer and form controls from the same templates that still render left-to-right in English and French.
Which markets have you shipped themes for?
United Kingdom, United States, EU, GCC, Canada and Australia — furniture, fashion rental, food, jewellery, automotive carbon fibre, health supplements and more.
